Sub-Membrane Depressurization
One of the several methods of mitigating radon is
the sub membrane depressurization system in crawl spaces.
If you will notice the white plastic is being sucked
to the ground by the fan. This will move the radon up through the
white pipe in the background and will exit safely outside.
The pipe extending to the right (photo above) is pre installed if
we have to do a sub slab system in case the crawl space is not
adequate to mitigate all of the radon.
The white or clear plastic is a specialized
reinforced plastic we use
for radon mitigation.
